We are pleased to confirm that the Agricultural Benefits Per Capita Distribution will begin on Thursday, April 17, 2025.
Chief and Council have agreed that Elders will be prioritized. Once their Electronic Funds Transfers (EFTs) are sent, payments for adults and minors will follow in the order they have been received.
TD Bank has confirmed that, once they have the banking information—which we will provide once you send it to us, that they can process hundreds per day. However, please be patient once the funds begin to flow.
If all goes smoothly, it promises to be a great “Good Friday” and Easter weekend for all Kahkewistahaw members.
There are still a few areas that require attention, but as long as your information has been submitted, you are in the queue and your Per Capita Distribution (PCD) will be sent via EFT.
In addition, the KFN Security and Safety Plan will be rolled out next Monday. This will ensure everyone is aware of the safety measures being put in place across our homelands.
Finally, I will provide an update this Wednesday regarding the upcoming pop-up shop from the North West Company. They will be offering goods such as quads, furniture, lawnmowers, TVs, PS5s, Xbox consoles, and more. I’ll be visiting the pop-up location tomorrow and will share pictures and more information on Wednesday.
To confirm, Thursday, April 17, our “Cows and Ploughs” funds will begin flowing directly into your bank accounts via EFT. Get your banking account information in!
On behalf of KFN Council,
Chief Evan Taypotat
