POSITION: OFFICE MANAGER
WAGE RANGE: BASED ON QUALIFICATIONS
CLASSIFICATION: TERM, FULL-TIME
SUMMARY:
The Office Manager for the Chief Kahkewistahaw Community School is a support position that works directly with the Principal and accountable to the Kahkewistahaw Chief and Council. The Office Manager will organize and coordinate office administration and procedures, in order to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency and safety. The Office Manager is responsible for developing intra-office communication protocols, streamlining administrative procedures, inventory control, office staff supervision and task delegation.
REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Possess a grade 12 or equivalent, with some post-secondary education and 3-5 years of experience in the administration, management, and supervisory roles.
- Possess the ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and skills to include financial planning.
- Experience with MySchoolSask student database.
- Competent in Microsoft Office products including work and excel.
- Knowledge of the school system and how it runs, able to navigate difficult situations with staff and parents.
- Possess certificates in First Aid and CPR.
- Have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- Submit a pre-employment drug screen within thirty days of commencing employment.
- Must submit three references with an updated resume and cover letter, and current Vunerable Sector check.
