POSITION:                 POST MAJORITY MANAGER

CLASSIFICATION:    PERMANENT, FULL-TIME

 

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Kahkewistahaw First Nation is developing their Family Services Program. The Family Services Post Majority Manager works directly with those youth aged 18-26 who have aged out of care. The Family Services Post Majority Manager reports to the Director of Family Services. The Family Services Post Majority Manager will support families and/or individuals mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically. Develop relationships with all eligible clients.  A few key competencies required include maintaining a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive client information. The Family Services Post Majority Manager will follow all Kahkewistahaw First Nation’s Policies and Procedures. Participate in the development and amendments of Policies and Procedures. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to handle highly emotional situations and immediate knowledge of completing budgets, reports and welcoming consultations.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in social work, or other Human Services Field or combined years of relevant experience.
  2. Knowledge of Kahkewistahaw First Nation’s culture, traditions and language would be considered an asset.
  3. Must have good written and oral communication skills to effectively deal with band members, employees, external agencies, and Chief and Council.
  4. Must maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate a pleasant, courteous, and professional demeanor, while also being punctual, reliable, and committed to upholding confidentiality in all matters.
  5. Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines, possess excellent time management skills, take direction, and work with minimal supervision.
  6. Possess a valid driver’s license and own a reliable vehicle.
  7. Must provide three (3) current written references with an updated resume and cover letter.
  8. Submit a current updated criminal record check (CPIC).
  9. Must provide a drug screening test if selected for the position.
