POSITION: HEAD START EDUCATOR
WAGE RANGE: AS PER KFN CKCS SALARY GRID
CLASSIFICATION: CONTRACT, FULL-TIME
Join our team and help shape the future of our children of Alice Francis Daycare & Head Start. We’re looking for a compassionate and dedicated educator who is passionate about early childhood development and committed to supporting each child’s emotional, physical, and spiritual growth. This role will focus on preparing the children in 2025-2026 Head Start Class for a smooth transition into Pre-K through hands-on activities and teaching important skills like, writing, recognizing letters and numbers, building routine, and develop a love for learning.

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Possess a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent, OR;
- Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Certificate from a recognized institute.
- Work with minimum supervision and be able to take and follow directions.
- Must be in good physical condition due to the physical demands of the job.
- Knowledge and experience with children with exceptionalities.
- Promote and maintain positive teamwork and be courteous, cooperative in a professional manner and ensure matters remain confidential.
- Must have CPR and First Aid (or willing to receive immediately.)
- Have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- Submit a pre-employment drug screen within thirty days of commencing employment.
- Must submit three references with an updated resume and cover letter, and current Vulnerable Sector check.
