POSITION: JORDAN’S PRINCIPLE INTAKE OFFICER

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Seeking a highly motivated individual for the full-time position of the Jordan’s Principle Intake Officer who will work with direct supervision of the Jordan’s Principle Coordinator. The Purpose of the Jordan’s Principle Intake Officer is to respond to Kahkewistahaw First Nation Membership (Families with children 0-18 years old) requiring support and services. The Jordan’s Principle Intake Officer will receive calls from families and complete an initial assessment in collaboration with the Family Wellness Department and make referrals to appropriate services. They will contribute to the achievement of holistic outcomes increasing quality of life for Kahkewistahaw First Nation children living on and off reserve. Ensure children receive the services at the time they require them without experiencing any denials, delays, or disruption of services.
REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
- High School Diploma; Post-Secondary Diploma in Social Service or Health related field.
- Minimum two years’ experience in Social Services or related Health field.
- Must be highly organized, punctual, and reliable.
- Must be sensitive and responsive in all interactions with vulnerable clients.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and Apple Products.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Child and Family Service Act, Vulnerable Persons Legislation.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with the Family Wellness Team.
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
- Seeking an individual who is passionate about promoting a healthy lifestyle and who would encourage others to make wellness a priority in their daily life.
- Possess the ability to maintain the management of confidential information and must be prepared to sign an Oath of Confidentiality.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and own a reliable vehicle.
