POSITION: CKCS SECURITY
WAGE RANGE: BASED ON QUALIFICATIONS
CLASSIFICATION: PERMANENT, FULL-TIME
SUMMARY:
The CKCS Security will be responsible for ensuring the safety of students and staff at the Chief Kahkewistahaw Community School. They will monitor school grounds, patrol hallways and classrooms, and respond to emergencies as they arise. The CKCS Security will notify any incidents to the appropriate authorities that need immediate attention.
REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Possess a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Work with minimum supervision and be able to take and follow directions.
- Must be in good physical condition due to the physical demands of the job.
- Knowledge and experience in security is an asset.
- Possess the ability to maintain the management of confidential information in a manner that protects the rights of the First Nation.
- Must possess a valid Saskatchewan Security Guard License or Private Investigator Security Guard Training Certificate.
- De-escalation training or similar.
- Must have CPR and First Aid (or willing to receive immediately.)
- Have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- Submit a pre-employment drug screen and current Criminal Records check within thirty days of commencing employment.
- Must submit three references with an updated resume and cover letter.
