POSITION:               POST MAJORITY MANAGER

WAGE RANGE:      BASED ON QUALIFICATIONS

CLASSIFICATION: PERMANENT, FULL-TIME

 

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Kahkewistahaw First Nation is developing the Family Wellness Program. The Family Wellness Post Majority Manager works directly with young adults aged 18-26 who are aged out of care. The Family Services Post Majority Manager reports to the Director of Family Services. Develop relationships with all eligible clients.  A few key competencies required include maintaining a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive client information. The Family Wellness Post Majority Manager will follow all Kahkewistahaw First Nation’s Policies and Procedures. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to handle highly emotional situations and immediate knowledge of completing budgets, reports and welcoming consultations. The Family Services Post Majority Manager will support families and/or individuals mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

  1. Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work, or other Human Services Field or combined years of relevant experience.
  2. Knowledge of Kahkewistahaw First Nation’s culture, traditions and language would be considered an asset.
  3. Must have good written and oral communication skills to effectively deal with community members, employees, external agencies, including Chief and Council.
  4. Must maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate a pleasant, courteous, and professional demeanor, while also being punctual, reliable, and committed to upholding confidentiality in all matters.
  5. Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines, possess excellent time management skills, take direction, and work with minimal supervision.
  6. Possess a class 5 driver’s license and own a reliable vehicle.
  7. Must provide a cover letter and updated resume, with three (3) current references.
